Mission Statement
The Washington Metropolitan Healthcare Recruiter's Association
(WMHRA) mission is providing leadership, support, education and
professional development to its members and the community we serve,
while maintaining high values and ethics in the recruitment professionals.
Welcome Letter
WMHRA began in 1975 when a group of nurse recruiters met to offer
mutual support and exchange ideas. In 1982, they incorporated
as the Washington Metropolitan Nurse Recruiter's Association.
1995 saw the name change to Washington Metropolitan Healthcare
Recruiter's Association to reflect changing members needs and
the healthcare industry.
Since its inception, WMHRA has recognized that its strength derives
from the members and their activities. For the past 19 years,
members have created a brochure for and hosted a Careers Fair
spotlighting Washington Metro participating hospitals. The fairs
offer excellent recruitment opportunities for all members and
generate revenue for the Association. These highly successful
career fairs create an opportunity for members to network, and
to share information and ideas related to healthcare recruitment
issues.
We welcome new WMHRA members and invite them to contact fellow
Association members on all topics related to recruitment. Our
membership is enriched by your presence as we look forward to
a mutually productive future in pursuit of our Associations
goals throughout this new century.
